A special 16-page supplement showcasing the work of the MOPEAD was published alongside the Alzheimer Europe 2018 Dementia in Europe magazine. The supplement includes a general overview of the project, information about each of the project's work-streams and their goals, as well as interviews with the project leadership. At the 4th meeting of the MOPEAD Consortium in Barcelona in September, the partners leading the project patient engagement strategies in the five clinical sites shared the progress made with the recruitment, the hurdles to overcome and suggestions on how to overcome them. Fundació ACE hosted the 4th MOPEAD Consortium meeting in their premises in Barcelona, on 12th and 13th September 2018. One of the main features of this meeting was to deliver on the recommendations issued in the project mid-term review in May 2018. Read the full story here.

The University of Cologne (Germany) is the second site to have started its patient recruitment for the MOPEAD project. Recruitment has started with the pre-screening of 34 patients using the ‘Open House’ strategy. Seven of them have been referred for a formal diagnosis that should be given once these patients have given their informed consent. The recruitment using the ‘Primary care-based’ strategy has also just begun. Download full Press Release here.
