Two key MOPEAD project deliverables were released at a lunch debate co-organised by Alzheimer Europe, MOPEAD, AMYPAD and Act on Dementia (the 2nd EU Joint Action on Dementia) in Brussels on 10 December 2019. The event looked at improving the diagnosis of dementia and explored the findings from European research collaborations. As part of this, MOPEAD distributed our Recommendations for Policy Makers and Regulators, and our Public Education/Awareness Strategies.
Sirpa Pietikäinen, Member of the European Parliament opened the event. Presentations were made by Pierre Krolak-Salmon (Institut du Vieillissement, Lyon, France) who presented Act on Dementia graduated diagnosis strategy, Mercè Boada (Fundacio ACE and MOPEAD Coordinator) who presented MOPEAD’s results on the effectiveness of the models of patient engagement tested and evaluated by MOPEAD, and Gill Farrar (GE Healthcare and AMYPAD Partner) who talked about the role of Imaging in the diagnosis and prognosis of AD.
